Burges Salmon makes banking director hire

Burges Salmon has appointed Amy McVey as a director in the Banking & Finance team in its Edinburgh office, which opened last May.

Ms McVey joins the Bristol-headquartered legal firm from the Banking & Finance team at Brodies, having previously worked at The Royal Bank of Scotland. She will help develop Burges Salmon’s Scottish banking practice, with particular focus on financial restructurings, leveraged finance, real estate finance and corporate lending.

Her appointment takes to three the firm’s Banking team in Scotland, which also comprises partner Stuart McMillan and solicitor Stephanie Lynch.
