Burges Salmon makes Scots banking partner hire
Burges Salmon has hired a fourth partner for its recently launched Edinburgh office, as Stuart McMillan joins its Banking team from today, 1 October.
Mr McMillan was previously a partner at DLA Piper in Scotland. Qualified in both Scotland and in England & Wales, he advises a wide range of banks and borrowers in project finance (including PFI/PPP and renewables), acquisition finance and real estate finance deals, frequently involving cross-border financing.
In addition to developing Burges Salmon's general Scottish banking practice, he will help build the firm's infrastructure, real estate and energy expertise and capability. He will spend the majority of his time in the Edinburgh office but will also work with its wider practices and sector groups.
Managing partner Roger Bull commented: "We're really excited to be able to announce Stuart’s arrival, which will further help us best meet the needs of our clients in Scotland and our commitment to the continued growth of both the firm and our longstanding successful Scottish practice."
