Cancer Research Racquet fundraising party returns
Cancer Research Racquet, the international group of legal and business professionals who raise money for cancer research, have announced the return of their Champagne Garden Party fundraiser for the first time since 2019.
Coordinated once again by Emma Johnston of Pinsent Masons, Jennifer Talbot of DLA Piper and Emma Boffey of Axiom Advocates, this year’s garden party returns to Edinburgh's Eglinton and Glencairn Gardens on the evening of Friday 26 May, with music, food, a raffle and of course, lots of champagne and laughs! Live music on the evening will be performed by leading Edinburgh vocalist, Mary McMahon, together with a performance from The Edinburgh Jam Group, an Edinburgh based music charity.
Partnered with local charity Marie Curie, this event will be the sixth held in Scotland for Cancer Research Racquet. Many within the group have fought cancer. They, their families and friends have benefitted from recent advances in drug development and treatments, and now organise events across the world to raise funds for further research to benefit others. So far, the group has funded nine research grants for scientists to research various types of cancer and treatment.
"Back for the first time since 2019, we would like to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet", the organisers said. "We are encouraging all involved in the legal and business communities in Scotland to support the event and bring along family, friends and colleagues for what promises to be a great night, raising money for two great causes.”
Tickets are priced at £35 per person and can be purchased here.
