Cat Maclean joins Scots Judicial Appointments Board
Catriona (Cat) Maclean has been appointed a legal member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
A partner at MBM Commercial, and a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Professional Conduct Committee, Ms Maclean has held posts within her firm which include staff wellbeing, recruitment, development and training. She is also equality and diversity partner for her firm.
She has twice won "Solicitor of the Year" at the Law Awards of Scotland, for her work acting for individuals and small businesses against banks who they claim have acted unfairly in lending transactions. She also spent 10 years at the Scottish bar as an advocate, from 1998-2008.
Her appointment, just published by the Scottish Government, is for four years from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2026, attracting a remuneration of £296 per day for a time commitment of up to 40 days in any financial year.
