CMS promotes five in Scotland to of counsel

Global law firm CMS has announced the promotion of five of its Scottish team to of counsel.

In Edinburgh, Construction law specialist Claudia Russell, and Kirsty Nurse and Keith Simpson from the  Banking & Finance team, have won the recognition. They are joined by Jane Fender-Allison and Madeleine Young from CMS's Glasgow Construction Disputes team.

These promotions follow last month’s appointment of Michael Urquhart as of counsel in the Banking & Finance team in Edinburgh, and the promotion of six new partners in May.

Allan Wernham, CMS managing partner in Scotland, commented that the promotions "demonstrate our commitment to ongoing career progression for our colleagues and ensure stability and continuity for our clients as we develop talented people across all practice areas of the firm".
