Commission extends deadline for cohabitation responses
People interested in the Scottish Law Commission's options to reform the law on cohabitation have an extra month to send in their comments.
The Commission's Family Law team has extended the deadline for responses to its Cohabitation Discussion Paper from 31 May to 30 June 2020, because of the current restrictions due to the coronavirus.
In the paper the Commission asks how far the legal protections for cohabitants should be extended, and whether they should be given equivalent rights to those for married couples or civil partners.
