COPFS seeks input to next strategic plan
Scotland's Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service has opened a public consultation on its priorities for its strategic plan covering the next five years.
The strategic plan will outline COPFS's organisational mission, vision, corporate values, strategic goals, and priority activities for the period 2023-27.
More than 20 priority activities are proposed, from reviewing how reports of sexual offences are dealt with, to delivering digital transformation, to establishing s specialist team to investigate deaths in prison.
Its consultation focuses on an initial framework document to inform the contents of the plan. Responses received will help to shape the final plan, which will be published in early 2023.
COPFS seeks to demonstrate how it will continue to meet the needs of the public and improve the quality of justice for victims, witnesses and bereaved nearest relatives.
