DAC Beachcroft makes double Glasgow partner hire
International law firm DAC Beachcroft has appointed two partners experienced in professional indemnity work to its Scottish team.
Alan Eadie and Lynne Cardow join the firm from BTO Solicitors in Glasgow, along with senior associate Gillian Harman and solicitor Stuart Craig. Mr Eadie, who has more than 25 years' experience in professional indemnity work, previously headed BTO's Property & Professional Liability Business Unit. Ms Cardow is an accredited specialist in professional negligence, having practised exclusively in this area for more than 12 years, and became a partner at BTO in 2019.
In addition to handling professional liability claims for a broad range of professionals for a number of large insurer clients, they act on behalf of solicitors under the Law Society of Scotland’s Master Policy for professional indemnity insurance.
Suzanne Wharton, partner and head of DAC Beachcroft's Professional & Commercial Risks team across Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Scotland, commented: "We are delighted to welcome two people of Alan and Lynne's calibre to our team. Their expertise in the professional indemnity market adds real depth to our offering as we continue to strengthen our Scottish capability even further, in line with growing client demand."
