Digital system launched for crofting applications
Crofters and their agents can now apply online for assignations, decroftings, sublets and divisions, with the launch by the Crofting Commission of its digital application system for a range of application types.
The process has been designed to be simple, efficient and inclusive, and with more applications types moving to a digital version over the coming months the Commission says it is the best way to make a crofting regulatory application.
The system allows the completion of an application at an applicant’s own pace from almost any internet connected device. The intuitive wizard makes sure crofters or their agents get the correct form for what they want to do every time and not worry about their application being rejected. Built in validation makes sure that no vital information is missed, preventing the delays that can arise with the traditional paper forms.
Further features are planned, including the ability to view the real-time progress of any submitted application form.
Paper forms can also be uploaded and submitted digitally, to take advantage of instant, guaranteed receipt.
The Commission encourages all crofters or their agents to apply via the Crofting Commission website to ensure the fastest, most secure application type and minimise the risk of any unnecessary delays.
