Disabling Barriers Scotland hosts next insights event

Disabling Barriers Scotland, the new organisation for lawyers with a disability, has issued an invitation to its next insights event on Monday 3 April for an hour from 17:30.

First, Lorna MacFarlane from Endometriosis UK will discuss the work of her charity and the support it provides, and also discuss managing chronic pain in the workplace. 

She will be followed by Malcolm Mackay, presenting on his LinkedIn article "Vasculitis at Work". Vasculitis is a rare, debilitating and complex group of autoimmune diseases, presenting challenges for managing the condition within the workplace and for employers in understanding how to assist employees. 

Disabling Barriers will also host its first working group meetings over the next two weeks. Supporters will be contacted individually.

Organisers Fraser Mackay and Tom McGovern say their insight events "have been an excellent opportunity for an informative discussion so far and we thank those who have volunteered their time to present". They would welcome offers to present at future meetings.
