Dispute resolution partner hire for Addleshaw Goddard
International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has hired solicitor advocate Douglas Blyth as a partner in its Dispute Resolution team in Scotland.
Mr Blyth joins from Dentons, where he headed the firm's Dispute Resolution practice in Scotland and was joint lead of the UK Litigation & Arbitration practice group. He has a wealth of expertise in insolvency, procurement, corporate, transport and renewables disputes, including on cross-border matters.
Like recent hire Claire Thornber, he will be based in Glasgow, alongside litigation partner Alan Sinclair.
Simon Catto, head of Dispute Resolution in Scotland for Addleshaw Goddard, commented: "Bringing in someone of Douglas' calibre is another example of our ambition and commitment to growing our commercial litigation practice in Scotland. We already handle some of the most high-profile instructions in the country and expect to see growing demand for our services throughout next year, so it is fantastic to add another heavyweight partner to the team."
