East coast sees growth as Thorntons appoints six
Legal firm Thorntons has announced a number of new appointments across its Dundee, Forfar, St Andrews and Glasgow offices, with six new solicitors coming on board.
In its Dundee headquarters, Millie Griffiths has joined as a solicitor in the Wills, Trusts & Succession team, and Zeenat Reid as a solicitor in the Commercial Real Estate team. Both were previously with Blackadders.
Aimee Young joins the Wills, Trusts & Succession team in the Forfar office. Previously with Macnabs, she is studying to complete the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Diploma, having passed two modules with distinction so far.
The St Andrews office welcomes Lauren McIntosh, who also joins from Macnabs, as a solicitor in the same team, and James Martin, who joins the Residential Property team from Blackadders as an associate.
In the west of Scotland, newly qualified Claudine Tumangan has joined the Glasgow office as a solicitor in the Intellectual Property team.
Colin Graham, Thorntons chair, said: "The development of our east coast offices is a real source of pride of us – signalling our growth ambitions for the region – and we are delighted with these new appointments."
