Farmer solicitor becomes Blackadders associate
Blackadders has hired solicitor and part time farmer Ian Angus as an associate in its Rural team.
Mr Angus, who runs his own livestock farm near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, says he finds that the hands-on experience of dealing with livestock, equipment and land gives him an invaluable insight into the issues his clients face every day. Joining Blackadders from Raeburn Christie Clark & Walace, he will serve clients across Scotland from the firm’s Aberdeen office.
Philip Buchan, partner and head of Rural Land & Business at Blackadders, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ian to the firm. He is a respected and trusted rural lawyer and the combination of his agricultural knowledge, existing Aberdeenshire business network and pragmatic legal advice will be an ideal fit with Blackadders and strengthen the multi-disciplinary client services we offer in Aberdeen. I look forward to working together with Ian on the future development of our rural group.”
