Flexible working brings directors to Anderson Strathern
Four director hires have been made by Anderson Strathern in recent months.
Chris Weir, previously acting director of Regulation and head of Fitness to Practise at the Scottish Social Services Council, has been appointed to the Professional Regulation team from January this year.
Agricultural law specialist Tim Macdonald joined the firm from Lindsays in December 2022, bringing almost a decade of experience working on the purchase and sale of farms and estates, agricultural tenancies and farming partnerships.
Earlier last year Lorraine Currie, an accredited specialist in freedom of information and data protection law, has joined the firm following eight years at the Scottish Information Commissioner’s office; and Caroline Pringle, previously with Murray Beith Murray, became a part time director in the Private Client team.
All have cited Anderson Strathern's flexible working policy as among their reasons for joining the firm.
Bruce Farquhar, partner and chair at Anderson Strathern, commented: “It’s no secret that law firms are having to work hard to recruit the best people right now. The fact that we can do so is testament to our commitment to offering agile working from day one.”
