Four promoted to partner at Thorntons
Thorntons has announced the promotion of four new partners, three of whom started as trainees at the Tayside-headquartered law firm.
Kim Campbell (Corporate), and accredited specialists Amy Jones (Employment) and Kirsty Stewart (Intellectual Property), are all based in Dundee, while Debbie Dewar (Land & Rural Business) is based in Perth.
All but Ms Campbell, who joined the firm in 2013, have been with Thorntons since their trainee days – and Ms Stewart, who is also now a chartered trade mark attorney, first joined the firm as an administrative assistant.
Their elevation follows the recent partner appointments of Stephanie Carr in Glasgow and Joanne Grimmond in Dundee.
Thorntons chair, Colin Graham commented: “We recognise that supporting our people through professional learning and development, benefits our clients and enables Thorntons to flourish.
“It is testament to our culture that three of our newly promoted partners were once trainees with us and have continued their development at Thorntons. All six of our new partners will have a positive impact on our leadership team and the firm as a whole.”
