Further call for views on Tied Pubs Bill
The Holyrood committee scrutinising the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Bill at stage 1 has issued a short further call for evidence.
MSPs on the Economy, Energy & Fair Work Committee are inviting views by 14 July 2020 on the bill, a member's bill introduced by Neil Bibby MSP, which aims to improve the position of tied pub tenants through a Scottish Pubs Code to govern the relationship between pub-owning businesses and their tied tenants, with a Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator to apply the code.
There are currently around 750 tied pubs in Scotland.
