Gibson Kerr promotes Nadine Martin to partner
Edinburgh and Glasgow law firm Gibson Kerr has announced a series of appointments and promotions.
They include the promotion to partner of Nadine Martin, described as Scotland’s first and only solicitor to be an accredited specialist in family law, child law and family law mediation, and a certified specialist in trauma informed practice, in which she works with the Law Society of Scotland to deliver a specialist certification in trauma informed practice. She is also a trustee on the board of Glasgow East Women’s Aid, and volunteers for the Scottish Child Law Centre.
Also promoted are Stuart Millar to senior associate, Katie Marshall to senior solicitor and Rhian Mackay to paralegal in the Personal Law unit. Mr Millar and Ms Marshall are both members of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.
Property solicitor Donald Towsey has joined the practice from McDougall McQueen, while Nikki Lemon takes up a paralegal role in the Property department.
Fiona Rasmusen, partner and head of Family Law, commented: "Nadine’s promotion is well deserved and recognises the sterling work she has been at the centre of since joining Gibson Kerr last year. Along with other promotions and a number of key new arrivals, our firm is well positioned to maintain our position as one of Scotland’s foremost legal firms active in family law, personal law and property."
