Glasgow's Annemarie O'Donnell awarded OBE
Annemarie O'Donnell, chief executive of Glasgow City Council, has been awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen's Birthday Honours List published today.
Ms O'Donnell has served the city's legal team since joining as a solicitor in 1991. She became chief solicitor on the formation of the City Council in 1996, and was promoted to further managerial posts before becoming chief executive in December 2014. She also chaired the COP26 Programme Board.
Her honour has been given for services to local government.
