Human Rights Court judge to deliver Macfadyen Lecture
Judge Tim Eicke QC, the United Kingdom judge at the European Court of Human Rights, will deliver the 2020 Macfadyen Lecture.
The lecture, held annually by the Scottish Council for Law Reporting in honour of the late Lord Macfadyen, will this year outline the existing case law under the European Convention on Human Rights in relation to the environment and consider its potential and its limitations – both substantive and procedural – as one of the legal mechanisms for engaging with the challenges posed by climate change.
It will take place at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, EH2 2PQ on Thursday 26 March at 6pm.
Tickets are free of charge and are bookable on a first come, first served basis on Eventbrite at this link.
