Journal magazine seeks successor editor
The Law Society of Scotland's Journal magazine is seeking a deputy editor with a view to taking over as Editor later in 2023, as current editor Peter Nicholson is due to retire.
The post is an exciting opportunity for a trainee or qualified solicitor, a career returner, a career changer or an accredited paralegal, with an interest and preferably some experience in publishing.
It involves helping plan, write, vet copy for and edit the magazine (paper and digital versions), ensuring all deadlines are met, and overseeing the digital and social media output.
The full-time role – which could suit job sharers – is hybrid-based with occasional days in Connect’s office in Paisley or in its co-working space in Edinburgh, and attending events as necessary. The excellent salary and benefits package on offer includes a contributory pension.
Applications are invited by Tuesday 28 February and should be sent to Peter Nicholson: peter@connectmedia.cc
