LawCare appeals for donations in week of match funding

Legal support charity LawCare is appealing for financial support this week from the profession, during which the value of donations will be doubled. 

LawCare is taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge. The campaign runs until midday on 6 December and any donation made during that time on LawCare's donation page will be doubled from a matched pot of funding it has already secured. 

This year LawCare has an ambitious target of £10,000 to boost its additional support fund, which pays for counselling and related services for legal professionals in acute need without the means to finance the help themselves. 

As research continues to show that legal professionals are under strain and at significant risk of burnout, money raised will help LawCare provide much needed emotional support across the UK to those struggling with the day to day pressures of life in the law and living and working during these uncertain times.

• £50 pays for a one hour counselling session;
• £120 provides ongoing LawCare peer support to a legal professional in need; 
• £500 pays for 6-10 sessions of therapy for one person.
