Lawyers' group holds "fatal accident inquiry" for Jesus
A "dramatised investigation into the death of Jesus, using the lawyer’s tools of inquiry" is being held by the Lawyers' Christian Fellowship as the Easter season approaches.
Taking the form of a fatal accident inquiry, the "Dramatised Investigation into the Death of Jesus Davidson" will take place this Friday, 24 March, in court 1 in Parliament House, Edinburgh.
The inquiry will "hear eye-witness testimony, consider medical evidence, and review press reports". Brought by "the procurator fiscal for the district of Jerusalem in the province of Judea", it will seek to "establish the circumstances of the death, and consider what steps (if any) might be taken to have prevented this, and other deaths in similar circumstances".
Witnesses will include the soldier overseeing the death, the high priest who instigated it, the friend Mary Magdalen who saw it and expert witness Paul of Tarsus who proposes an explanation.
The open event begins at 7.30pm, with tea and coffee available from 7pm and wine and soft drinks to be served afterwards (from about 8.45).
A few tickets can still be obtained, from Eventbrite.
