Morton Fraser hires Martin Minton
Martin Minton has joined law firm Morton Fraser as a senior solicitor in the company's Agricultural and Rural team.
Mr Minton joins from Inksters Solicitors, where he started his career almost 10 years ago as a student researcher and subsequently a trainee solicitor. He grew up on a croft in Wester Ross, and now specialises in crofting law, providing legal advice and support with purchasing, selling and registering crofts, as well as with access issues, boundary disputes and crofting succession.
Michael Ramsay, Partner and Divisional Head of Real Estate at Morton Fraser, said: “We are delighted to welcome Martin to our Agricultural and Rural team, which provides specialist advice in all sectors of the agricultural and rural environment to both private and public sector clients. Martin joins a cohort of experienced lawyers in the field and we look forward to continuing to grow this expert team.”
Mr Minton added: “I am thrilled to join the team at Morton Fraser. They are always a pleasure to meet at the other end of a case, and the firm has a strong reputation for being a great place to work. I’m looking forward to focusing even more on providing crofting legal advice to a variety of clients.”
The Agricultural and Rural team provides advice to both private and public sector clients, including the Scottish Wildlife Trust and Scottish Government. Mr Minton is based in Morton Fraser’s Glasgow office.
