New SEMLA/law firms programme for legal career hopefuls
SEMLA, the Scottish Ethnic Minorities Lawyers' Association, is working once again with legal firms Burness Paull, and Shepherd & Wedderburn, on a programme providing insight into the law for those considering a legal career.
The programme is designed to help aspiring solicitors gain some of the practical skills and knowledge they need to navigate a pathway to the profession.
The first event in the series will take place online on Wednesday 17 November 2021 from 12.30-2pm. This will be an introductory event featuring a panel session in which trainee solicitors from the two firms provide insight into their experiences as trainees.
Further topics in "The SEMLA Series with Burness Paull and Shepherd & Wedderburn" will include recruitment skills, commercial awareness, personal brand, access to the legal profession, and much more in the coming months.
University students currently studying Scots law are invited to sign up for the first event at this link.
