Nine promoted across three offices at Thorntons
Thorntons has announced a round of nine promotions, including one legal director, four associates and four senior solicitors.
Effective from 1 July, James Brogan will be legal director in Private Client in Edinburgh and Bonnyrigg. He joined Stuart & Stuart in May 2019 as a senior solicitor and was promoted to associate later that year before the firm merged with Thorntons in 2022.
Two new associates in Edinburgh are Victoria Wright (Intellectual Property) and Emma Lawrie (Residential Property), while in Dundee Lynsay McFarlane becomes an associate in Personal Injury and Katy Dow an associate in Intellectual Property.
The new senior solicitors are Jillian McLaughlan (Employment), Alex Dawson (Residential Property), both in Dundee, along with Roisin Donnelly (Intellectual Property) in Edinburgh and Ross Cargill (Private Client) in St Andrews.
Thorntons' chair, Colin Graham commented: "Fostering an environment for learning and development is a core value at Thorntons as we support our people and culture across all levels. It is always a highlight to recognise the hard work of individuals, so congratulations are well deserved."
