North councils combine to create external legal services framework
Seven local authorities covering Grampian, Highland and Islands have worked together in appointing six firms to a legal services framework worth an estimated £4m, the Local Government Lawyer reports.
Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, The Highland Council, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Shetland Islands Council, Orkney Islands Council and Moray Council developed the framework, divided into lots for commercial, regulatory and dispute resolution; and pensions and investments.
Brodies and Burness Paull won places for both lots; DWF, Harper Macleod and Morton Fraser were successful on the first; and
Pinsent Masons took a place on the second lot.
The procurement was led by Aberdeen City Council.
