Partner and associate promotions at RCCW
North east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCCW) has announced two promotions in its Private Client department, with Amy Watson becoming a partner and Ruth Lussier an associate.
Ms Watson started with RCCW in 2007 as a trainee solicitor and joined the Private Client team on qualifying in 2009. A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), until last year she was co-ordinator of the Aberdeen STEP Discussion Group, which helps foster relationships within the private client professional community. She also spearheaded the firm’s campaign to be recognised as a STEP employer partner, a high level of accreditation that recognises compliance with good practice in the training and development of staff working in the sector.
Ms Lussier originally worked as a secretary in the firm’s court department during time out after graduating. She started her traineeship in 2013 and has remained in the Private Client department since qualifying in 2015.
Managing partner Callum McDonald commented: “It is pleasing at this most difficult time to announce some good news, and I am particularly delighted with these promotions since both Ruth and Amy have been with us since leaving university, and demonstrate the firm’s ethos of encouraging and rewarding loyalty and hard work. Amy becomes our first new partner since we converted to an LLP last year and we expect that both ladies will continue to be a tremendous asset to our firm for many years.”
