Peter Kinghorn to retire from Dundee North Law Centre
Peter Kinghorn, principal solicitor at Dundee North Law Centre, is to retire at the end of this month, the Courier reports today.
Now 71, Mr Kinghorn helped found the centre in 1994 from a branch of the Dundee Legal Advice Association. It now operates as a non-profit making charity from 12 locations across the city, particularly in tenancy and benefit work.
His successor as principal solicitor will be Joyce Horsman, who will join from Fife Law Centre. She has also worked for the Scottish Government, Shelter Scotland and Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service as well as in private practice.
Marjory Stewart, chair of the law centre, said: "The board of Dundee North Law Centre would like to express their gratitude to Peter for his long and loyal service to the project.
"We would also like to wish him all the best for his retirement."
