Philip Buchan joins Blackadders as director
Blackadders has appointed Philip Buchan as a director in the firm’s Rural Land and Business team.
Mr Buchan specialises in the sale and acquisition of estates, forests, farms, salmon fishings and country houses and he advises clients on all aspects of countryside matters from water supply rights to diversification projects.
He joins Blackadders from Anderson Strathern and will be based in the Edinburgh office.

A member of the Agricultural Law Association (ALA), Mr Buchan has worked across a number of rural areas in Scotland. Starting his career in Dumfries & Galloway, he went on to work in Aberdeenshire and Moray and is now based in Pencaitland, by Haddington in East Lothian.
Mr Buchan graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Bachelor of Law and the University of Edinburgh with a Diploma in Legal Practice.
