Private client partner heads six Lindsays promotions
Lindsays has named private client lawyer Alison McKay as its latest partner, heading a round of six lawyers whose promotions have been announced today.
Ms McKay, who joined Lindsays’ Glasgow-based team two years ago, specialises in advice on wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estate planning.
Sharon Drysdale, who in 2019 moved from commercial property into rural services as an associate, is promoted to director within the Rural team. In the same department, Eilidh Robertson steps up from senior solicitor to associate.
There are three other new associates: Kathleen Gaughan in the Personal Injury team, based in Glasgow; and in Dundee, Lindsay Carr becomes an associate in Residential Conveyancing, and Katherine McAlpine an associate in the Dispute Resolution & Litigation department.
Last month Lindsays announced its merger with Perth, Crieff and Dundee practice Miller Hendry, which takes effect on 30 May. The enlarged Lindsays firm will comprise almost 50 partners and 300 staff.
Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays’ managing partner, commented: “An important part of the Lindsays ethos centres on attracting, recognising and rewarding rising talent in the Scottish legal industry. Our latest promotions stand testament to precisely that.
“These new roles open fresh opportunities for each of our colleagues, and the firm, as they take their careers to the next level as the firm continues to grow. My congratulations to them all and I look forward to working with them in their well deserved new roles.”
