Scot elected as Pinsent Masons managing partner
Scottish litigator Laura Cameron has been elected managing partner of multinational law firm Pinsent Masons, the firm announced today.
Ms Cameron will succeed John Cleland with effect from 1 May 2023, when he completes his second four-year term. Pinsent Masons policy is that two terms is the maximum that can be served.
With 28 years at the firm and its legacy practice McGrigor Donald, Ms Cameron, who is based in Glasgow, has had leadership roles including as the first female member of Pinsent Masons' global board. She recently stepped down after her second term as global head of the 880-strong cross-discipline Risk Advisory Services Group.
She has also been instrumental in implementing projects that advanced Pinsent Masons’ management structure to support the pace of its multinational expansion, and has facilitated the development of a range of professional services offerings including forensic accounting services, tax professionals and policy advisers.
