Scullion LAW awarded Marie Curie prize
The team at Scullion LAW is celebrating after the law firm won Marie Curie Scotland’s Fundraising Excellence Award at a virtual prize ceremony.
Scullion LAW received the honour after raising more than £230,000 of future income for Marie Curie Scotland to help people with a terminal illness.
Throughout lockdown, and despite staff working from home, the firm remained committed to the Marie Curie Free Will campaign and more than 300 Wills were prepared electronically.
Matthew Reed, CEO of Marie Curie UK, said: "Over the past six years Scullion LAW have helped more than 1,000 people across Scotland to write a Will, raising an incredible amount of future income for Marie Curie through gifts left. On behalf of Marie Curie, a heartfelt thank you for all you do and congratulations on your well-deserved award."
Nicholas Scullion, Managing Director of Scullion LAW, said: “I am so proud of our team, especially Gordon Lennox (Associate Director and head of the Wills & Future Planning Department), Emma Wright (trainee) and Amelia Fraser (secretary) for their hard work in preparing the Wills. I would also like to thank everyone in the community who has in any way contributed to the success of this campaign including those who clubbed together to provide the Marie Curie nurses with the required PPE and sanitising equipment at the height of the pandemic.”
