Welcoming her, JUSTICE chief executive, Fiona Rutherford commented: "Seonaid’s experience in academia and as a Scots qualified solicitor, along with her commitment to access to justice, pro bono work and legal education will be invaluable to JUSTICE Scotland’s upcoming work. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team."
Ms Stevenson-McCabe responded: "It is a real privilege to be appointed vice chair for JUSTICE Scotland. As chair and vice chair, Shelagh McCall QC and Catherine Smith QC have worked tirelessly and I am very grateful to them. Access to justice is a fundamental right which must be protected and defended. I look forward to working with Almira Delibegović-Broome QC as chair, the wider JUSTICE staff team, and our membership to create a fairer, more accessible and more equal justice system in Scotland."
