Seven promotions as Gilson Gray underpins COVID support
Gilson Gray has announced seven new promotions, including a legal director, four associates and two senior solicitors.
Cheryl Edgar, based in the firm’s North Berwick office, becomes a legal director in the Residential Conveyancing team, while Jean McAlpine and Emma Cowie advance to associate and senior solicitor respectively in the same department.
Iain Grant is promoted to associate, and Fraser Cameron to senior solicitor, in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
The other new associates are Joe Davies, in Private Client, and Shona Young in the Family Law team, who was promoted to senior solicitor just last year.
Gilson Gray said the promotions reinforced the firm’s culture of recognising and rewarding its talented staff, and were also central to its commitment to provide vital support to clients through the coronavirus crisis.
Managing partner Glen Gilson commented: “At Gilson Gray we are committed to continuing the development of our people’s careers and to providing our clients with the very best of support through this crisis.
“That is why we are continuing with the promotion of our talent and why we have offered free legal advice on COVID funding to businesses that need help at this time.
“We will do all we can to support our team members and to help the Scottish business community right now, as they have supported us since our launch six years ago.”
