Shepherd and Wedderburn hires Aberdeen Real Estate head

Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed Peter Smith as a commercial property partner and head of its Aberdeen Real Estate team.

Mr Smith joined the firm on 1 August from Burness Paull, where he had been a partner in the Commercial Real Estate team since 2012.

With 19 years' experience, he has a broad client base operating across sectors including hospitality and leisure, oil and gas services, retail, development and agriculture/rural business, and is individually ranked by legal directory Chambers and Partners.

Last year, Shepherd and Wedderburn relocated to a new Aberdeen office with capacity to double headcount, as it anticipates sustained growth in the region.
