Shepherd & Wedderburn hire two agricultural specialists
Shepherd & Wedderburn has hired two accredited agricultural law specialists as the start of a promised expansion of its Rural team.
Petra Grunenberg will join as a partner on 5 September, while Ellen Eunson becomes a director today, 18 August. Formerly partners In Blackadders, where Ms Grunenberg led the Rural team, both will be based in Shepherd & Wedderburn’s Aberdeen office.
The firm said that in the coming weeks four more lawyers would join, specialising in rural and agricultural law, comprising two senior associates, an associate and a solicitor. The hires announced today will bring its total number of agricultural law specialists accredited by the Law Society of Scotland to five.
Earlier this month Peter Smith joined the Aberdeen office to lead the development of the Real Estate team in the region. Last year, the firm relocated to a new Aberdeen office with capacity to double headcount.
Managing partner Andrew Blain commented: "Our rural team in the north east of Scotland is already top ranked by both the UK’s independent legal directories and I am confident that the arrival of Petra, Ellen and our other new recruits will further secure our position as the leading trusted advisers for clients with rural and agricultural interests."
