Shoosmiths expands Corporate team with four new hires
Four senior appointments to the Corporate team at Shoosmiths' Edinburgh and Glasgow offices have been announced, with two legal directors and two associates joining the UK law firm's Scottish arm.
Kimberley Goh, a corporate lawyer with over 14 years’ transactional experience at Dentons, becomes a legal director based in the Glasgow office, while Jen Paton, who previously worked at the firm for more than 10 years, returns to a similar position in Edinburgh after working for a couple of years at Shepherd & Wedderburn.
The two new associates are Morgan Trigg, qualified at the New York bar and as an English solicitor – her experience also includes working in Luxembourg – and Aadil Anwar, who will join the firm later this year from Thorntons’ Corporate team in Dundee. Both will be based in Edinburgh.
Welcoming her new colleagues, Alison Gilson, corporate partner and head of the Edinburgh office, commented: "The year to date has seen the Corporate team in Scotland record strong results, including advising businesses within the edtech and electric transportation sectors. We have impressive credentials from providing a strong client base with clear and impactful corporate advice and I am very confident that we are in a terrific position to record an equally impressive number and value of deals into 2023."
