Siobhan Kahmann promoted to partner at CMS
International law firm CMS has announced the promotion to partner of Siobhan Kahmann, the Scottish-qualified competition and regulatory law specialist based in Brussels, among several new global partner promotions.
A University of Aberdeen graduate, Ms Kahmann has worked with a number of legal firms in Brussels since 2009, developing her expertise in EU law. She joined CMS three years ago where she advises its Scottish client base on a range of competition and regulatory law matters as well as new, post-Brexit subsidy regimes.
She also serves on the Law Society of Scotland's Council as its international member, a post she has held for six years, and on the Society’s Technology, Trade, and Competition Committees.
It was announced last month that three of CMS's Scottish-based solicitors, Fiona Henderson, David Dennis and Davinia Cowden, have also been elevated to partner.
Allan Wernham, managing director of CMS Scotland, commented: "I congratulate Siobhan on her well-deserved promotion. Her expertise in competition law, regulatory law and wider aspects of EU legislation delivers tremendous value to many of our Scottish clients, and further strengthens our offering as a locally-focused international law firm."
