Solicitor named for Judicial Appointments Board
Solicitor Denise Loney has been appointed as a temporary legal member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
The appointment has been made due to the absence of another member. It will run for six months from 7 June to 7 December 2023, or until the absent member returns.
A solicitor in private practice who has worked in the fields of commercial litigation and debt recovery for over 30 years, Ms Loney has previously held appointments at both the Scottish Legal Aid Board and the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.
Her new position attracts a remuneration of £296 per day for a time commitment of up to 20 days during the appointment period.
