Survey opens on keeping Civil Online mandatory
A questionnaire on the mandatory use of Civil Online for simple procedure cases has been launched by the Scottish Civil Justice Council.
The Council is reviewing the current requirement, which came into force on 1 December 2020 and will expire on 30 September 2021.
The questionnaire seeks views from court users, including party litigants, solicitors and professional services firms that have used Civil Online and the application programme interface, developed by SCTS, to submit their claims as a result of the rule.
Responses will be considered by the Council’s Access to Justice Committee in preparing a report and recommendations about whether to extend the rules beyond 30 September.
