Tayside extends child welfare hearing webex pilot

The pilot scheme in Forfar and Stirling Sheriff Courts for holding child welfare hearings virtually using the Cisco webex platform is to be extended across all courts in the Tayside, Central & Fife sheriffdom during the spring.

Following an evaluation of the effectiveness to date of the pilot, introduced in December, Sheriff Principal Marysia Lewis has decided to continue it in the two courts where it already runs, and to extend it as follows:

from 1 March in Dunfermline, Falkirk and Perth; and

from 1 April in Alloa, Dundee and Kirkcaldy.

It will run in all courts until 28 May, or such other date as may be separately advised.
