Thorntons retains eight trainees on qualifying
Full service legal firm Thorntons has appointed eight newly qualified solicitors to positions in four of its offices following the completion of their two year traineeship with the firm.
The Dundee office sees Angela Robertson confirmed in the Dispute Resolution & Claims team, Hayley Blackman in Corporate & Commercial, Jillian McLaughlan in Employment, and Alex Hirst Dawson – who first joined the firm as a paralegal before undertaking further study leading to her legal qualification – in Residential Property.
Thorntons' Edinburgh team welcomes Maria Gravelle in Employment & Immigration, and Scott Douglas in Corporate & Intellectual Property. Lindsey Cross will join the Commercial Property & Insolvency team in Glasgow, and Chloe Anderson the Private Client team in St Andrews.
Thorntons' chairman Colin Graham commented: "We aim to give our trainees a strong foundation for their career with hands-on experience, practical work and direct client contact from early on. I'd like to thank the senior team across the firm who have nurtured these eight individuals. It's excellent to see the range of specialities they have chosen to pursue and I wish them all the best of luck in their careers with Thorntons."
