Thorntons to open in Inverness
Thorntons is opening its first office in Inverness as part of its continuing growth plans.
The Tayside-headquartered legal firm has secured modern premises within Beechwood Business Park, with space to develop a significant legal presence in the city. It is also in the process of appointing a new Inverness-based team, which will include several well established practitioners in the area.
Inverness will be the firm’s 14th location and its first in the Highlands. The new office will offer private client services including wills, trusts and tax planning, while also providing specialist business law advice in sectors including commercial real estate, agriculture, life sciences, energy and renewables, and hospitality.
Managing partner Lesley Larg commented: "These are very exciting times for our firm as we prepare to open our second new office of the year, this time in the flourishing city of Inverness.
"As one of Scotland’s few independent full-service law firms we have something unique to offer to the local marketplace and we look forward to introducing our services to a wide range of prospective clients."
She added: "We will additionally seek opportunities to contribute to the local community. As a firm we are committed to making a positive difference to the areas where we live and work."
Thorntons supports a range of initiatives, including projects that support the development of young people through learning, sports, the arts, medical research and local community enterprises.
Across Scotland the firm now has 71 partners and employs more than 550 people.
