TLT targets zero emissions by 2025
UK law firm TLT is targeting becoming a net zero carbon emissions organisation by 2025, through a new partnership with advisory firm Carbon Intelligence.
Carbon Intelligence will supporting TLT as the firm formalises its long-term sustainability strategy, and undertake a full strategy and business review, providing TLT with a comprehensive analysis of risks and opportunities in terms of its sustainability strategy and approach.
The advisory firm works extensively across the legal sector on ensuring the success of firms’ sustainability goals, and recently announced a new partnership with the Legal Sustainability Alliance, an industry-based coalition on sustainability issues of which TLT is a member, to help law firms and the legal sector more widely to transition to a net-zero carbon future.
Maria Connolly, partner and TLT’s Executive Board member responsible for sustainability, commented: "We need to take a more strategic and scientific approach to addressing the challenges we face and to strive for true sustainability in the broader sense and in line with our values. The expertise and guidance of the team at Carbon Intelligence will be of tremendous benefit as we embark on this important journey."
Last week Shepherd & Wedderburn committed to net zero emissions by 2030 under the Edinburgh Climate Compact (click here for report).
