TrustLaw hosts free pro bono event
A free virtual event designed to help Scottish lawyers develop their skills in delivering pro bono legal work is being held by TrustLaw, the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono legal service.
The Legal Roundtable: Strengthening Pro Bono in Scotland event takes place on Tuesday 3 November from 12.30pm to 2pm as part of the 19th annual Pro Bono Week. The event is being held In partnership with the law firm CMS. With input from a number of pro bono specialists, TrustLaw will explore helpful practices as well as challenges and the lessons learned in delivering pro bono legal support in Scotland. Participants will hear about current pro bono legal opportunities and be guided through TrustLaw’s Championing Pro Bono Guide, released in January 2019.
TrustLaw’s Senior Legal Manager Europe, Middle East & North Africa, Sarah Farrelly, and TrustLaw’s Programme Manager UK and Northern Europe, Adriano Mancinelli, will be joined by Chris Rae, Partner and Corporate Responsibility Sponsor at law firm CMS, his colleague Emily Catterwell, CMS Senior CR Manager Scotland, as well as Elaine Crichton of Inspiring Scotland and Rebecca Samaras of Edinburgh Law School.
