Two hires for Lindsays' commercial teams

Legal firm Lindsays has announced the appointment of senior solicitor Katherine McAlpine and solicitor Rhian Griffiths to its Dispute Resolution & Litigation and Commercial Property teams respectively.

Ms McAlpine, who joins Lindsays' Dundee team from Miller Hendry, will provide advice on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters including debt recovery, insolvency issues, contractual disputes as well as landlord and tenant matters.She has appeared regularly in sheriff courts and at First-tier Tribunals for housing and property matters. 

In Edinburgh, Rhian Griffiths joins the Commercial Property team as a banking solicitor. Her experience includes advising banks, borrowers and peer-to-peer lenders, and she has experience of drafting loan, security and charge documentation. She also has a background in commercial property. 

Partner John Bett, head of Dispute Resolution & Litigation said Ms McAlpine's recruitment reflected an increased volume of work for the firm's commercial litigation and resolution services in Dundee, while Gavin Buchan, partner in Lindsays’ Banking team, said that with her valuable commercial property experience Ms Griffiths would complement their banking offering.
