Two partners head six DLA Piper Edinburgh promotions
Legal firm DLA Piper Scotland has promoted to partner two lawyers in its Edinburgh office.
Sarah Letson (Finance, Projects & Restructuring), and Linzi Penman (Intellectual Property & Technology) have both been recognised.
Ms Letson, who joined DLA Piper’s London office in 2011 and moved to Edinburgh in 2019, is experienced in all aspects of non-contentious restructuring and insolvency, acting for banks, funds and office-holders among others in respect of domestic and international financial restructurings.
Ms Penman has been with the firm since 2015, focusing on advising international private and public companies on matters relating to IT, commercial and data protection issues, particularly in the financial services, consumer goods, retail, media and entertainment sectors.
In addition, Euan Bruce (Employment) and Patrick Fulton (Litigation & Regulatory) have been promoted to legal director, and Laura Maclennan (Intellectual Property & Technology) and Thomas Carr (Real Estate) to senior associate.
Congratulating all those promoted, Simon Rae, DLA Piper’s managing partner in Scotland, commented: "We are confident that they will continue to go from strength to strength on the global platform that DLA Piper provides.
"These promotions align with our strategy and commitment to continue to grow our presence in Scotland, through both organic growth and attracting market leading talent across all key areas. Nurturing and developing our talent are key to this strategy and we will continue to make significant investment in all of our people to ensure they achieve their full potential with us."
