Views sought on working of virtual children's hearings
Solicitors involved in children's hearings are among those whose views are sought in a survey of experiences of children's hearings during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Hearings have taken place remotely during this time, and Children's Hearings Scotland is collaborating with the Centre for Excellence for Children's Care & Protection, the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration and the Centre for Youth & Criminal Justice on better understanding the experiences of everyone involved in hearings during the lockdown.
They want to hear from young people over the age of 12, families, panel members, social workers, safeguarders, reporters, solicitors, advocacy workers, and anyone else involved. The information and feedback provided will be used to assist in improving everybody's experiences of hearings.
