Free workshop on consumer contracts in Scotland Scottish Law Commission event discusses possible law changes
Potential changes to the law which would better protect consumers from retailer insolvency are the subject of an online workshop by the Scottish Law Commission.
The Law Commission of England and Wales is currently consulting on proposals to reform the law of sale of goods. This would be done through amendments to the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
This workshop is an opportunity for stakeholders interested in responding to the consultation to discuss the Scots law implication of the proposals. The free event takes place on Thursday October 8, from 10am to 1pm.
